TRIBAL STUDIO COACHING – YOGA

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left”]Within this video, JC talks about a few yoga concepts that are worth explaining first to develop your understanding.

Firstly, JC refers to the Pranayama:
“”Pranayama is control of Breath”. “Prana” is Breath or vital energy in the body. On subtle levels prana represents the pranic energy responsible for life or life force, and “ayama” means control. So Pranayama is “Control of Breath”.

The second term that JC mentions is Asana:
In yoga, asana refers both to the place in which a practitioner sits and the postures in which he or she sits. In the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali defines “asana” as “to be seated in a position that is firm, but relaxed”.

A concept that JC discusses throughout this video is that of the wholeness, balance and opposing halves of life that is Yin (restorative, moon, female) and Yang (strengthening, sun, male), within 21st century life we have an abundance of Yang without much Yin, a bubbling undercurrent of moderate stress over stimulates and can leave us tense and uneasy.

One of the greatest pieces of feedback that we have received to date regarding our studio is the peace and quiet that our users can find when practicing here. Escaping the inevitable humdrum of modern life, business and family and finding some inner tranquility for a few hours a week.

Apologies for the background noise, it’s been a big 3 months of transformation here at Tribal Health & Performance. Enjoy the video, I have included a step by step guide to the Sun Salutation below the video.[/text_block]
